Architecture preview

DetailsThis is a good picture of details because normaly if you're looking at it from down or the side, you wouldn't be able to see the top with all the palm trees.

Angles and Shapes This is an amazing picture of how this building has all types of shapes and sizes. How it has a type of movement.

Surroundings This is nice because it is a drop placed on water. It makes it seem like it's a rain or tear drop falling into the water.

Patterns The patterns in these houses is because they are basically in repetition, they are cubic houses, one after another.

LightThis picture has amazing lighting, The stained glass lets rays of colors enter the room and the wholes on top also let in a lot of solar light.

Cover History

Cover types

1. Early Magazine Covers - For these magazine covers, there was normally only the title. There were few magazine covers that showed any other words of what was actualy in the magazine. From the 1700s and 1800s, there were some magazines that showed the table of contents on the cover page. After that some magazine covers came out with a symbolic covering of what was in the magazine. Around the 1800s, magazines began to have coverlines and began to experiment more with symmetry lines.

2. The Poster Cover - The magazines with poster cover seemed to be oversized like to be posted or hung on a wall. Like, the posters are framed by the rest of the magazine. Most of the covers had gorgeous drawings or paintings or pothographs of things that captivate you. Poster Covers are still up to this date.

3. Pictures Married to Type - Basically, The picture(s) or art on the cover are on top of the name of the magazine. Cover designers find a way to fit the words on the cover, either somewhat covering some of the picture or art on the page or around to fit the picture.

4. In the Forest of Words - Basically, adding a lot of words and finding the best way to fit them, only in this case, they change color and font/font size to add layer depth to make a certain phrase or word show up more and catch the viewers eye.

2009 review

Favorite Picture: Lunar eclipse

I like this picture because it seems like the photographer took the picture at the perfect moment.

Favorite story: Balloon Boy

A couple had claimed that their son had floated off in a hot air balloon. Later the boy was found in their own attic. The parents were being sued for false statements.

Favorite song: I'm in Miami Trick - LMFAO

These guys are so funny in all their music videos. They released the album with this song this year. It's kind of a pointles song but it's about partying and just living life as crazy as possible.

Favorite Movie: The Hangover

This movie was named one of the top 10 movies of this year. I love it bcause it is so stupid and pointless but it doesn't stop you from laughing throughout the whole movie.

Tips on Self-portraits and portraits

1) Use your imagination! A self-portrait can reveal a lot about you, by including props and even other people that are meaningful in your life. If you've never attempted to shoot a self-portrait, expand your creative horizons and give it a try.

2) Looking off camera – have your subject focus their attention on something unseen and outside the field of view of your camera. This can create a feeling of candidness and also create a little intrigue and interest as the viewer of the shot wonders what they are looking at. This intrigue is particularly drawn about when the subject is showing some kind of emotion.

I think for my pictures, I want to go on a eye direction picture. I want to have my subject, if not me, looking out of the frame. or maybe at something in the frame. I just don't want my subject, again if not me, looking directly at the camera unless I play with the lighting and get their eyes to be vibrant.

Portraits and Self Portraits

I love this picture mainly because she has a dress on her already made of some other pictures. It makes the picture intreging to the eye. I enjoy looking at the picture because of the backround and how she's holding a camera to take a picture of herself.

I like this picture because the lighting and surroundings around him makes the picture seem nice and peaceful.
There are flowers surrounding him and the sky looks as though it's about to rain.
I think I want to have an outside theme, I'm not sure because I want to avoid too much exposure to light. I just want to have a scenery to go off of.

Photos of 2009

I like this picture becauseit's taken from a lower point of view. as if a person was taking the picture of this band from the floor looking up at the stage.

i chose this picture because I like that you can tell how everyone is having a lot of fun playing and how everyone around them is centering their attention on them.

I chose this picture because it really looks interesting. Basically, everything is being reflected off of the water. Also, you can clearly tell the subject of the picture is the guys with the dog. There are no distractions.

1. During my holiday break, my favorite memory was when we were getting ready for New Years. It was about 11:56 and we were doing Sparklers. It was so windy that when I turned it on I was on the grass and a spark fell on the grass and started a fire. My friends didn't notice until they saw me trying to put it out. we missed 12:00.
2. A few friends and I went down town to Barton Springs and we just hung out and played at the creek. Then we stayed there till night so we could go to the Trail of Lights. It was a very nice day. but VERY cold.
3. I think, I will always keep in mind prior events of 2009 more than anything in the actual year but one thing I do think is that with this year, I have grown older and stronger. I have learned so much this year.
